So in-order to ease your strain, increase the font size on Eclipse editors. To increase font size, Open Eclipse. Goto Window Preferences. As shown, Goto General Appearence Colors and Fonts. On the right panel Select Editor Font and click the Edit Button. Increase the font size on the new window and press Ok on both windows. The “Initialize setting with the following profile” option should have “Eclipse built-in” selected. And the “Open the edit dialog now” should also be selected. Now click “OK” to create your new format settings. You are now presented with the “Profile ‘name you selected’” box. There will be 8 tabs, named as follows. In the Preferences dialog: Select General Appearance Colorsand Fonts (1) in the left pane. Select Java Editor Text Font (2) in the center. Click Edit button in the right. Which font are you – ABAP developers using in code editor (either in SAP GUI SE38/SE80/SE24 or in Eclipse IDE)? I have done little research in other programming languages and I found that one of the most preffered non-default one is called Consolas. So I gave it a try and now I can say that it is great. It is one of the pre-installed fonts.

In linux this means, you can change all fonts by modifying gtk configuration. Search the internet for .gtkrc, it's quite often topic. cheers Jacek Lorenzo Bettini napisał(a): >> Wayne Beaton wrote: >> >>> Charle Kelly wrote: >>> >>>> Can the size of the font used in the Java source code editor be >>>> changed? >>>> If yes, how? >>>> >>>> Thanks >>>> >>>> Charlie >>> >>> >>> Window > Preferences > General > Appearance > Colors and Fonts > Java >>> > Java Editor Text Font >>> > > is there a way to change all the fonts? That doesn't mean you should switch to gnome :) Essentially work that you have to do is to find, where the .gtkrc file should be located and what should be inside. Have a look at here, for similar problem, but with buttons: http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-16083.html And here an example gtkrc file: http://dev.eclipse.org/newslists/news.eclipse.tools/msg37977 .html let me know if you have any further questions Jacek |

How can I change the font of layout (XML) editor in Eclipse?
Bobs :
Change Font In Eclipse Editor
I know how to change the font of 'Java editor' in Eclipse in menu Windows → Preferences → Appearance → Colors and Fonts, but I could not find an option for changing the font of 'layout editor' for files like myLayout.xml or strings.xml.
Where is it?

Aleksandr Kravets :
Use menu Windows → Preferences → Appearance → Colors and Fonts → Basic → Text Font. This is a common text font setting that is applied to XML file editors by default.
