IMovie for High Sierra. I have a late 2011 Macbook Pro running High Sierra. I can't download the latest version of iMovie as it's incompatible with High Sierra. But the latest version I can get from apple is 9.0.9, which from what I read doesn't work well with High Sierra. Jun 12, 2020 I'm running an early 2015 MacBook Air with Sierra 10.12.6 I have recently started editing video. I have iMovie 9.0.9 installed. There appears to be an incompatibility between these, such that my shared/saved videos are colour washed-out. I'm caught in a situation where my computer cannot run. The day before, an Apple employee in the sales department actually sold me iMovie v9.0 (2011 version) and was very helpful/ confident about it. He knew my operating system limits and knew that Mavericks and the current iMovie v.10.0 would not work on my macbook. Even the order confirmation/ receipt said 'iMovie '11 single unit'.
